    The intention in this paper is analyze how and why Pausanias relate the difference with the mythic Orpheus. This will reveal another face of the vast myth of the bard. For this particular research some aspects of Orpheus myth will be studied: place of birth, appearance, legend, magician’s role and his relation with Musaeus and the Eleusinian Mysteries.La intención de este trabajo es revelar la visión de Pausanias acerca de un mito tan amplio y heterogéneo como es el de Orfeo, así como analizar cómo y por qué surge la noción de «diferencia» en el Periegeta relacionada con la figura mítica del bardo. Para establecer con claridad la posición de Pausanias en lo que respecta a las tradiciones atribuidas al cantor, se analizan aspectos como el origen de Orfeo, el aspecto que poseía, su leyenda, su carácter de mago y su relación con Museo y los Misterios de Eleusis

    Este artículo analiza el proceso de planificación conjunta para la regulación de los ríos Júcar y Turia, a fin de identificar las causas explicativas de los errores técnicos más significativos. Este proceso planificador se inició durante la dictadura de Primo de Rivera, pero las propuestas definitivas no se configuraron hasta después de la Guerra Civil, con la aprobación en 1955 del Proyecto de Regulación de los ríos Júcar y Turia. Estos planes, que nunca fueron valorados positivamente por los usuarios y las fuerzas económicas locales, ignoraron el potencial de las aguas subterráneas y erraron en la evaluación de los recursos hídricos, provocando el sobredimensionamiento de algunas infraestructuras fundamentales.This paper analyses the joint planning process the Jucar and Turia rivers regulation, in order to identify the causes of the most significant technical errors. The planning process started during the Primo de Rivera dictatorship, but the definitive proposals were settled after the Civil War, in 1955, in the Júcar and Turia Regulation Project. These plans, never accepted by local stakeholders and economic agents, completely ignored the potential of groundwater resources and failed in the assessment of water resources, causing the over-dimensioning of some critical infrastructures

This article compiles a series of alternative data sources and methods that can be applied to reduce the costs and the time required to update such information. The review focus on how these sources and methods have been used in developing countries during time, highlighting the solutions for satisfying the need of updated socioeconomic factors of the population

    Fast microwave-assisted synthesis of Li-stuffed garnets and insights into Li diffusion from muon spin spectroscopy

    Lithium-stuffed garnets attract huge attention due to their outstanding potential as solid-state electrolytes for lithium batteries. However, there exists a persistent challenge in the reliable synthesis of these complex functional oxides together with a lack of complete understanding of the lithium-ion diffusion mechanisms in these important materials. Addressing these issues is critical to realizing the application of garnet materials as electrolytes in all solid-state lithium-ion batteries. In this work, a cubic phase garnet of nominal composition Li6.5Al0.25La2.92Zr2O12 is synthesized through a microwave-assisted solid-state route for the first time, reducing considerably the reaction times and heating temperatures. Lithium-ion diffusion behavior is investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and state-of-art muon spin relaxation (μSR) spectroscopy, displaying activation energies of 0.55 ± 0.03 eV and 0.19 ± 0.01 eV respectively. This difference arises from the high inter-grain resistance, which contributes to the total resistance in EIS measurements. In contrast, μSR acts as a local probe providing insights on the order of the lattice, giving an estimated value of 4.62 × 10−11 cm2 s−1 for the lithium diffusion coefficient. These results demonstrate the potential of this lithium-stuffed garnet as a solid-state electrolyte for all-solid state lithium-ion batteries, an area of growing interest in the energy storage community

    La presente tesis tuvo como objetivo desarrollar e implementar un plan de marketing para mejorar las ventas de la empresa Comercial C&C SAC en el distrito de Trujillo. Para la evaluación del presente trabajo, realizamos encuestas con una muestra de 107 clientes, lo cual determinó que, a pesar de la calidad de los productos y la asesoría técnica brindada, existen deficiencias en la atención y el tiempo de espera en la entrega de los productos, además los resultados de la encuesta, nos evidencia un alto grado de desconocimiento de la marca, lo que genera deficiencia en el posicionamiento de la empresa. La investigación evidencia la necesidad de implementar un plan de marketing que permita captar nuevos clientes e incrementar las ventas. En el presente trabajo, se utilizó el análisis FODA, creando planes de acción, para poner en práctica estrategias del marketing, mix, de posicionamiento, diferenciación y estrategias FO, FA, DO, DA. El estudio de la empresa de Comercial C&C SAC, determinó que la empresa no cuenta con un plan de marketing, y con la aplicación de éste, tendrá un impacto positivo en el incremento de las ventas de la empresa Comercial C&C SAC de la Ciudad de Trujillo 2016.This thesis’s aim was to develop and implement a marketing plan to improve sales at Comercial C & C SAC Company in the district of Trujillo. The evaluation of this study demanded the application of surveys with a sample of 107 customers, which determined that, despite the quality of products and provided technical advice, there are deficiencies in the service and queue time in the delivery of products, and the survey results show a high degree of lack of knowledge of the brand, generating deficiency in the company positioning. The research evidence the need of implementing a plan of marketing that allow capture new customers and increase them sales. In the present study, we used the FODA analysis, creating action plans, to implement the marketing strategies, mix, positioning, differentiation and strategies FO, FA, DO, DA. The study of the company's Comercial C & C SAC, determined that the company hasn´t a marketing plan, and with the application of this, will have a positive impact on the increase in the sales of the company Comercial C & C SAC of the city of Trujillo 2016.Tesi

    The effect of family ownership on the liability decision

    The research aims to study of the effect of family ownership on the liability decision, and then it increases the knowledge on the accounting literature. Traditionally, accounting remains focused upon the actions of the firm and ignores the effects of the firm upon its external environment. However, a growing number of researchers have accepted that several effects of the firm influence the external environment and have suggested that one of the roles of accounting should be to report upon the impact of the firm in this respect. The methodology has two different frameworks. First, the literature review shows, by one hand, evidence of nonfamily owned firms than family owned firms to adopt and individualistic identity orientation, so they are motivated to firm self-interest and focus on financial performance (Bingham et al. 2010). By other hand, the liability decision making process, especially those that has the family as main shareholders of the firm (Agarwal & Nagarajan, 1990, Anderson & Reeb, 2003, 2004, Gomez-Mejía et al., 2007, Oro et al., 2008, and Puerto, 2010). Second, the empirical analysis is a longitudinal exploratory analysis based on the firms with shares listed on Bovespa Stock Exchange (São Paulo, Brasil) and the sample of 281 firms. The accounting information was collect from database Economática®, from which the classification is given of managers, controllers and family. Also, a series of hypotheses were prepared, which, once tested, the proposed relationship between liability and each firm of the sample. The authors used Benford’s law-based analysis, but because it produces strong support for the research hypothesis. The main results show the understanding of the liability decision in the context of family owned and nonfamily owned firms. Also, as an exploratory result, there is heterogeneity performing on the function of a standard of comparison and the test of the multivariate differences among firms reflect events occurring in an identical period with consequences in similarity of the business. Enthusiastically, it is observed that a firm can have a very significant effect upon its external image. Actually, it changes affect the liability decision through its activities. Also, it can be seen that these different effects, in some circumstances, are viewed as beneficial or as detrimental to the accountability of the firm

    El proceso de resemantización en la figura contracultural de Frida Kahlo con fines comerciales

    La contra-cultura es una de las bases del sistema consumista. Cantidad de aspectos relacionados con la rebeldía o lo contracultural, como personajes, estilos de música e incluso ciudades, han sido convertidos en iconos con fines comerciales. Esta conversión se lleva a cabo mediante un proceso de resemantización en el que estos aspectos quedan desprovistos de sus cualidades rebeldes. Frida Kahlo (México, 1907-1954) es considerada actualmente como un icono para la moda, la cultura y el feminismo. El presente trabajo es un análisis semiótico del proceso de resemantización y banalización que ha sufrido la imagen de la artista con pretensiones comerciales. El objetivo es explicar los procesos de resemantización de la figura contracultural de Frida Kahlo a través de las estrategias de merchandising, los contextos de apropiación y las motivaciones del público consumidor. La investigación gira en torno al análisis y estudio de una serie de conceptos que llevan a la resolución del objetivo y la obtención de las conclusiones, dichos conceptos son feminismo, resemantización, consumismo rebelde, historia de México y merchandising cultural
